On the phone with a friend on Friday and she says "Do you know what tomorrow is?", "No, what?", "It's the day AFTER the Wine Opener". That was the perfect thing to say as I was crazy helping set up the silent auction!
It ended up being such a fun, fun, FUN event! Fun and SUCCESSFUL!! We raised $100,000. ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS for the CFF! To help find a cure for cystic fibrosis! Our goal was $65,000. Can you believe we went OVER our goal by $35,000? AND we were SOLD OUT! This is only the 4th year for the event. Seriously, we have four events for the CFF in NWA and every committee has the best people! And, my friends - I could not be surrounded by better, more supportive people. Thanks to everyone for your help, donations, attendance and friendship!
A new addition this year was custom wine labels on bottles to use as decoration. Here is the beginning of that process, delabeling the bottles. This was about 75 of the over 100 we did:

Here are the labels I created. Several of our local CF patients sent pics of their kiddos with a little quote or blurb. I had a great time creating them. (Jason suggested I make them all in sepia tone, that was a great idea.)

Finished product, all ready for guests:

I really wish I had been better at taking more photos at set up (and I was so bad to take NONE at the actual event), but I did get a picture of some of our awesome volunteers from Kohl's putting together some of of silent auction items:

These went two of our live auction items - a
Labradoodle and a Yorkie:

Some of our 200+ silent auction items (we had 4 rooms of items):

We "won" the Razorback chairs (below), and a television for my office, and an autographed baseball (? - still trying to figure out why Jason bid on that one):

And this was a huge shock to me - I won this:

This was one of our raffle items (along with a Michael
Oher signed and framed jersey). I did not even plan to purchase any tickets because I was going to spend my money on silent auction. We had some great salesmen working the raffle table and they would not let me NOT buy tickets so I purchased the first four tickets of the night, I put two in for the autographed
Dierks Bently guitar and two in for the jersey. I was so shocked I won, I had to let the person drawing the winning tickets read the number twice because I did not believe it!
It was such a wonderful night! Can't wait for next year's event!
